We want to sell:

To friends and family

Asking friends and family members to make a purchase is a great way to start selling Girl Scout Cookies®.

It’s also an opportunity for Girl Scouts to practice their cookie pitch and build people skills. Challenge them to create skits to practice what they will say to convince a customer to buy Girl Scout Cookies®. Find a pitch script and card on girlscoutcookies.org/troopleaders.

Door-to-door

One way Girl Scouts can expand their circle of customers is through a walkabout. They will work together with a parent/caregiver and/or troop volunteer to map out their neighborhoods and sell door-to-door.

Find door hangers and other resources in the Cookie Sale Toolkit.

Find walkabout crafts and activities on LittleBrownie.com.

At booths

Whether in-person or online, there are lots of ways Girl Scouts can participate in Girl Scout Cookie™ booths and make it an epic experience!

For a fresh take on traditional in-person booths, Girl Scouts can try a drive-thru booth or pop-up cookie stand. Or girls can get creative online with a virtual pitches to local businesses. Find guides, crafts and templates for every kind of cookie booth in the Cookie Sale Toolkit and Girl Scouts’ Virtual Booth Guide.

At workplaces and other areas within your network

Nothing makes a workplace happier than Girl Scout Cookies®! Have Girl Scouts ask permission to sell cookies at family member workplaces. Or, ask local businesses to buy cookies as gifts for their employees or customers. Find tips for selling in workplaces and other areas within your network in the Cookie Sale Toolkit on LittleBrownie.com.

Online with Digital Cookie®

Digital Cookie® is an exciting way for Girl Scouts to take their cookie businesses to the next level! They’ll build on their marketing efforts, learn about e-commerce and practice thinking like entrepreneurs.

This secure online system allows entrepreneurs to design personalized sites to share their goals and invite customers to support them. Learn more about Digital Cookie on girlscouts.org.

Always remember to stay safe online! Review the Digital Marketing Tips for Cookie Entrepreneurs and Families and the Supplemental Safety Tips for Online Marketing on girlscouts.org and other guidelines in your council’s Safety Activity Checkpoints.

Through a donation program

Girl Scouts can boost sales and give back by offering customers the option to donate cookies to others. Councils or troops often select an organization to receive the donated cookies. Find ideas to promote your donation option on LittleBrownie.com.

On social media

Social media is a great way to spread the word about Girl Scout Cookie Season and help entrepreneurs grow their digital marketing skills. Help Girl Scouts reach more customers by using Girl Scouts’ and Little Brownie’s social resources for volunteers and families. Instantly share ready-made social posts to your pages or download the visuals and craft custom messages.

Check out the social media resource from Girl Scouts or browse categories on the Social Resources section of LittleBrownie.com.

Tip: Girl Scouts of all ages should partner with their parents or caregivers to develop a plan to safely market their business online. Although parents/caregivers should do the posting for entrepreneurs under age 13, all of them should have a hands-on role in marketing their cookie business. Review the Digital Marketing Tips for Cookie Entrepreneurs and Families on girlscouts.org.

Track and Celebrate:

Girl Scouts can track their goals in many different ways. They can create a simple poster, use the tracker on their order card, or get creative with a themed goal tracker.

Themed goal tracker:

Girl Scouts are always inspired by their own progress. Invite them to make a “Go Bright Ahead” goal tracker and watch their confidence rise. It can be used for both group goals and personal goals.

When Girl Scouts reach their goals, CELEBRATE!

Take a few moments after the Girl Scout Cookie Season closes to celebrate your Girl Scouts’ success.

Options could include donating money raised for a local cause, exploring in the great outdoors or even hosting an all-out cookie party! It’s also a great time to reflect on everything the Girl Scout Cookie™ entrepreneurs learned and accomplished over the season. Think of everything they’ve done on their own and together as a troop!
